AwardHacker & ReachNow

AwardHacker is a website similar to AwardAce which I mentioned here last year, but I find it easier to use. It’s a website which will show you the best mileage program to use for an award ticket based on the route you are trying to fly. It doesn’t show award availability although it’s a great guidance tool. The only pro with AwardAce is that it offers a discover feature which might open up ideas to destinations you otherwise wouldn’t select.

Trip to Hawaii?

ReachNow was sent to me by a fellow reader, Chris, as an up and coming company. It’s a BMW subsidiary. DriveNow was similar, but failed in San Francisco after running into parking issues and limited locations which was back by Six Rent a Car & BMW. DriveNow has been very successful in Europe and is operating in 8 countries.

“For a low per minute rate, ReachNow Members can drive any of our BMW and MINI vehicles for as long (or short) as they need with gas, insurance and, in most locations, on street parking included in the price.”

ReachNow is limited to just Seattle, Portland and Brooklyn for now, but hopefully they will expand soon.
