Tools & Resources for Booking Airline Tickets
Ever wonder how I find my airline tickets? Here are my top tools and resources…
Websites for Cheap Paid Ticket Deals
The Flight Deal: www.theflightdeal.com
Secret Flying: www.secretflying.com
Fare Deal Alert: www.faredealalert.com
Most of the deals posted on the above sites expire within hours so follow each of them on Twitter and check the Twitter app on your phone when you have some spare time. Who know’s where you might go… Maybe to Europe for $400. Or Dallas for $70. They will tell you all the fare rules, stopover allowances, miles earned, etc. plus where to book it! Book it immediately as you always have 24 hours to cancel 🙂
Best Airline Ticket Search Engine
Kayak: www.kayak.com
Did you diversify your mile/points portfolio but not sure which ones to use now? This is my favorite tool at the moment as I have 800,000 points to spend but they are all spread out in different programs (well diversified)
Check out Award Ace as they’ll show you how much it costs with each program based on the route: http://www.awardace.com/redemptions/search
Best Collection of Travel Blogs, besides mine 😉
BoardingArea: www.boardingarea.com
Best Travel Forum
FlyerTalk: www.flyertalk.com
