American Airlines Business Class: SFO-JFK A321T
To start my journey to South America, we took American’s Flagship Transcontinental Business Class to JFK on their A321T. It was my first time trying their Premium service to JFK from SFO so I was excited to compare it to American’s International Business Class that I’ve flown countless times to Sydney from LAX. Before boarding the noon time flight, we stopped by the AMEX Centurion Lounge for a few drinks and snacks to kick off the trip.
We boarded the flight and found our lie flat Flagship Business seats in Row 7. Booking the ticket far enough in advance, I was able to secure all 4 seats in Row 7. We settled in and were ready for our flight to New York. American now offers Casper bedding products in their Flagship seats. It was surprisingly very comfy. A major improvement over the previous bedding products. They also include the same Bose noise canceling headsets found on International flights. There’s plenty of leg room and storage space in these seats. It’s an improved version of the old United Business Class seats found on their 747’s. We pushed back on time and we were off!
Lunch started with smoked salmon and a small salad. We had all preordered the Lobster Roll online prior to our flight. Very unique offering and very tasty. I was impressed with the quality. We finished lunch with an ice cream sundae and continued to watch some movies/shows. Prior to landing we were offered freshly warmed cookies which was a nice touch. Excellent food for a domestic flight!
Overall: The service was excellent and I would highly recommend flying American’s Flagship Business Class on a transcontinental flight. It’s the same quality as an International Business Class flight which is a surprise for a domestic flight. I can’t wait to fly it again soon!
